Database Access integration w/MOSS 2007

Hello,

I am looking to integrate all of my users services with MOSS. We currently
use access 2003 as an interface to input data into a sql 2000 sp4 backend.

Is there any way to integrate access with sharepoint where my users can
access the database interface through the sharepoint intranet?

MOSS 2007 allows SharePoint Lists to be synchronized as/with Access **2007**
tables and probably the reverse applies but with several restrictions over
the kind of Access Tables (and field types within them)

There's no similar functionality to my knowledge for Access 2003.

However if all you are using Access for is to be a front-end to SQL Server
why not do this [connection to SQL Server] direct from MOSS ?

Do you know of any easy to follow documentation to coonect to SQL directly
from MOSS?

Documentation, no. But one way is to use the SPD 2007 Data function to
create a Data View Web Part.
