How do I remove the "My Site" link from ALL pages in MOSS 2007?

We have a MOSS 2007 installation for our off shore associates to use.
Security has determined that they do not want these associates to use the "My
Site" portion of MOSS. I have disabled that feature but the "My Site" link
still appears on all pages in all sites.

I have tried editing the master pages for each site using Sharepoint
Designer 2007 to remove the link and that partially works but is there a way
to remove that link from all existing sites and keep it from being added to
any future sites that we build?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to remove this group from the ssp's Personalization services
permissions?
if they don't have access they shouldn't see the link
